If you’re in the NYC area, be sure to check out Maker Faire this weekend at the New York Hall of Science in Queens (the one-time site of the World’s Fair)! It’s a big crazy festival of people making anything and everything, from crafts to robots.
I’ll be demonstrating on the Craft Demo Stage at 4:00 on Sunday, teaching people how to make the One-Hour Skirt from my book Sewing in a Straight Line. So come on by to meet me, have your book signed, and get a free lesson in skirt-making! I’ll be selecting one person from the attendees and making a custom skirt for her during the demo, so maybe it will be you!
